Simone Lipscomb Cooke is a Master Scuba Diver Trainer with PADI, an Open Water Instructor with SDI and a cavern instructor with TDI. She has over 30 years experience in the outdoor recreation, health and wellness field. Her undergraduate degree is in Outdoor Recreation Administration and Resource Management and her graduate degree is in Counselor Education. Both degrees are from Auburn University.
Simone is a nature writer and photograher. Her first book, Sharks On My Fin Tips, is a compelling collection of true stories about outdoor adventures. Her second book, Place of Spirit, is a combination of writing and photography. It is scheduled to be released in autumn 2010.
Simone is a cave diver certified through NSS-CDS and an instructor with Disabled Divers International. She volunteers as an instructor for wounded soldiers and their famliies.
Ray Cooke is a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer with PADI and is an instructor with Disabled Divers International. He is a calming influence when students get those 'first-time' underwater jitters.
He retired with over 31 years experience as a fire fighter which gives him nerves of steel underwater. He is a cave diver certified through NSS-CDS and has over ten years of cave diving experience. Ray is a great mentor for students wanting to progress through advanced levels of dive training. He is is committed to working with soldiers with varying degrees of disabilities through Disabled Divers International.
